Manager Aged Care

St Joseph’s Nursing Home is seeking an experienced Manager to support the Executive Team in delivering quality care and organisational business outcomes.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and the Director of Clinical Services, the Manager Aged Care will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating clinical care staff, ensuring provision of high quality care for residents aligned with the organisation’s core values and  assuring the financial and business operations of St Joseph’s Nursing Home are managed in line with the overall strategic plan.

To be successful, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a management position, ideally within an Aged Care setting
  • Sound financial and budgeting skills
  • Clinical background is desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of compliance management, ideally in Aged Care Accreditation and ACFI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills, ability to manage staff and the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety

CSSD Technician

An opportunity exists for experienced Sterilising Technicians to join the Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD) within St Vincent’s Lismore.

Criteria:

  • Previous experience working within a Sterilising Unit is essential
  • Evidence of Certificate III in Sterilising Services
  • Well developed interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of infection control principles preferred
  • Knowledge of theatre instruments and other surgical devices preferred
  • Knowledge of waste management preferred
