St Vincent’s Lismore is seeking passionate, dedicated individuals to join our non-clinical casual pool.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Lismore is a not-for-profit acute Surgical Medical Hospital operating under the auspices of the Trustees of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lismore since 1921. Services include  medical, surgical, HDU, palliative care, oncology, renal dialysis  and rehabilitation, with childcare and aged care facilities also on campus. The hospital enjoys a reputation for high quality care. St Vincent’s is seeking to expand it’s non-clinical casual pool in the above departments:

To be considered, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Experience relevant to the specific department would be desirable
  • Experience in the use of basic computer applications including Microsoft Office
  • Experience working within a service environment and delivering a professional, empathetic and personalised approach to clients
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with a diverse range of patients, residents, caregivers and the general public
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise workload

Mowing & Gardening Coordinator – Windara Communities

A position exists to coordinate and undertake mowing and general gardening at a number of sites in Lismore, Casino and Grafton.

 Working under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Church Diocese of Lismore, Windara Communities Ltd is an Australian Disability Enterprise and provides quality supported employment and training for people with a disability in the Richmond Valley. Business services include a nursery, function, conference and catering facility and a gardening and maintenance service. Windara Communities is seeking to fill the above fulltime/part-time position.

Reporting directly to the Manager – Windara Communities, the Mowing and Gardening Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Mowing and gardening at multiple sites in Lismore, Casino and Grafton
  • Mowing of large acreage areas
  • Coordinating employees to ensure sufficient and effective service provided to all areas

The following criteria would be desirable:

  • Experience in operating and minor maintenance of large zero turn mowers
  • Experience working within a service environment with the ability to relate effectively with a diverse range of individuals
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise workload

CSSD Technician

An opportunity exists for experienced Sterilising Technicians to join the Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD) within St Vincent’s Lismore.

Criteria:

  • Previous experience working within a Sterilising Unit is essential
  • Evidence of Certificate III in Sterilising Services
  • Well developed interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of infection control principles preferred
  • Knowledge of theatre instruments and other surgical devices preferred
  • Knowledge of waste management preferred
