Bed Manager – Permanent Position

St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Lismore is a not-for-profit acute Surgical Medical Hospital operating under the auspices of the Trustees of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lismore since 1921. Services include  medical, surgical, HDU, palliative care, oncology, renal dialysis  and rehabilitation, with childcare and aged care facilities also on campus. The hospital enjoys a reputation for high quality care. St Vincent’s is seeking to fill the following permanent position:

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join St Vincent’s Private Hospital as the Bed Manager.

The Bed Manager is responsible for the operational day-to-day management of beds throughout St Vincent’s Private Hospital. Ensuring safe and effective patient flow using innovative practice in bed management the Bed Manager is to monitor patient demand and availability of beds to ensure efficient utilisation of resources whilst establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders from several health facilities.

To be successful, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Current registration with AHPRA (RN or EEN)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with respect to time and clinical management
  • Self motivated and flexible
  • Computer skills

Sleep Technologist – Permanent Position

St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Lismore is a not-for-profit acute Surgical Medical Hospital operating under the auspices of the Trustees of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lismore since 1921. Services include  medical, surgical, HDU, palliative care, oncology, renal dialysis  and rehabilitation, with childcare and aged care facilities also on campus. The hospital enjoys a reputation for high quality care. St Vincent’s is seeking to fill the following permanent position:

An autonomous position exists to conduct sleep studies at St Vincent’s Private Hospital. The Sleep Technologist will conduct the sleep acquisition, monitoring and titration processes as specified by Queensland Sleep clinic procedures and is responsible for the clinical management of all patients undertaking a sleep study through Queensland Sleep at St Vincent’s Hospital, assuming responsibility for their care and performing all necessary tests from admission to discharge.

36 hours per week is available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

To be successful, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Current registration with AHPRA (RN or EEN)
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with respect to time management and delegation
  • Ability to work autonomously with analytical approach to troubleshooting
  • Self motivated and flexible
  • Computer skills

Ward Clerk – Permanent Position

St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Lismore is a not-for-profit acute Surgical Medical Hospital operating under the auspices of the Trustees of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lismore since 1921. Services include  medical, surgical, HDU, palliative care, oncology, renal dialysis  and rehabilitation, with childcare and aged care facilities also on campus. The hospital enjoys a reputation for high quality care. St Vincent’s is seeking to fill the following permanent position (76 hours / week):

An exciting administrative support position exists within the patient services team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

Reporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager, the Ward Clerk will be responsible for

  • The day to day administration for all patients admitted to the ward at St Vincent’s Lismore.
  • Effectively planning and prioritising work requirements to ensure the unit is provided with the highest quality administrative service.
  • Ensuring all service delivery is outcome based and consumer centred.
  • Planning for the patient admission with an emphasis on demand management and seamless integration with other service components.

To be successful, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in the day to day administration of patient files in a ward would be desirable
  • Demonstrated experience and aptitude in the use of basic computer applications including Microsoft Office and other applications
  • Previous experience working within a front line customer service environment and delivering a professional, empathetic and personalised approach to customers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with a diverse range of patients, the general public and our caregivers
  • Effective time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise workload

CSSD Technician

An opportunity exists for experienced Sterilising Technicians to join the Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD) within St Vincent’s Lismore.

Criteria:

  • Previous experience working within a Sterilising Unit is essential
  • Evidence of Certificate III in Sterilising Services
  • Well developed interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of infection control principles preferred
  • Knowledge of theatre instruments and other surgical devices preferred
  • Knowledge of waste management preferred

 

Nursing

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses.

Criteria:

  • Current Registration with NSW Nurses & Midwives Board
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Clinical experience and competence working in an acute hospital.
  • Northern NSW location
  • Hours negotiable
  • Perioperative / Wards / HDU / Palliative Care
