HR/WHS Officer

An exciting HR/WHS generalist position exists at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Lismore is a not-for-profit acute Surgical Medical Hospital operating under the auspices of the Trustees of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lismore since 1921. Services include general medical, surgical, HDU, palliative care, community palliative care, rehabilitation and aged care facilities. The hospital enjoys a reputation for high quality care. St Vincent’s is seeking to fill the following permanent part-time/full-time position:

HR and WHS Officer

This role is responsible for providing guidance, support and coordination in the consistent and effective application of Human Resources and Workplace Health and Safety policies, procedures and practices, including return to work processes for employees.

Working with the HR/WHS Team reporting directly to the CEO, the successful applicant will need to possess the following:

  • Qualifications in Human Resource Management, Workplace Health and Safety or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a HR generalist role
  • An understanding of payroll & rostering systems
  • Experience in return to work/injury management
  • An understanding of Fair Work and WHS legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team
