Day Oncology Unit open 4 days a week
The 8 bed unit opened its doors for the first patients undergoing treatment on the 7th January 2008. The unit has the latest facilities in patient comfort, state of the art technology and highly qualified registered nursing staff. Patients are admitted under their Specialist Oncologists, Dr Adam Boyce or Dr James Bull who have rooms within the hospital. The chemotherapy is prepared by pharmacy at St Vincents and patients have direct access to radiology and other surgical services also located on site.
