St Vincents Hospital provides first class facilities for highly specialised procedures in three fully equipped Operating Theatres, complimented by a six-bed recovery room. Surgeons specialising in the following areas have regular operating lists at St Vincents: Ear Nose and Throat Surgery, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Oral / Maxillo Facial Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology and Vascular Surgery.
A separate Endoscopy Suite with a six-bed recovery area for investigative procedures in Gastroenterology is located in the Day Surgery Unit.
The Central Sterilising Supply Department provides up-to-date equipment and technology for instrumentation sterilising, maintenance and storage. The trained professional and innovative team provide a high level of expertise and are constantly researching practices to improve the already high level of sterility processes.
