Visiting the hospital

Public Transport

There is a bus stop directly outside the Dalley St Entry to the hospital which is serviced by Northern Rivers Buslines service 683 (from Lismore Transit Centre)

By Car

The carpark may be accessed from Dalley Street, Avondale Avenue, or Stocks Street Lismore. You will see large signs at each entry indicating the hospital carpark.

Choose the best hospital entrance depending on the reason for your visit:

Avondale Ave Entry – Block A:
Best for Pathology, Day Surgery, Eye Clinic, Palliative Care, Ward 2, Rehabilitation.

Dalley St Entry – Block B:
Best for Radiology, Ward 3, Ward 4, Endoscopy, Pastoral Care and the Chapel. This is also the best entry for all specialist doctors’ medical consultation suites.

On arrival, treat yourself to a tea, coffee or snack at our Friends Coffee Lounge or Friends Tea Rooms located at each entry to the hospital.

Patient Visiting Hours

General Wards:
10am – 8pm daily

Rehab:
3pm – 8pm Monday to Friday
10am – 8pm Weekends & Public Holidays

All visitors are asked to stay within visiting hours, and respect the privacy of other patients.

Please note:
Access on weekends is via Dalley St Entry only.

During weekdays (Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm), Pay & Display parking is in place. Simply purchase a ticket when you arrive and display it on your dashboard for the duration of your visit.

There are five ticketing machines located throughout the car parks, with clear signage explaining the parking zones and payment options. Please note these areas will be monitored.

All parking fees collected return directly to the maintenance and upkeep of our car park facilities.

Parking in the streets surrounding the hospital is free.

Designated 10 minute drop-off and pick-up areas are provided at no charge.

Disabled Access

Parking for visitors and patients with prams, wheelchairs, or those requiring assistance with mobility are provided free of charge at each entrance. Both hospital entries have ramped pathways to lift access points.
