Day Surgery
Safe, efficient care for same-day procedures
St Vincent’s Lismore’s Day Surgery Unit is a modern facility providing a safe and convenient environment for surgical and investigative procedures. A day stay instead of overnight admission can effectively reduce the anxiety and financial burden often associated with coming to hospital.
Our Day Surgery Unit is supported by five fully equipped operating theatres and has a well appointed 2nd stage recovery area with comfortable recliner chairs where patients are cared for by staff specifically trained in day surgery care and recovery.
Specialities providing day procedures are, Dental, Ear Nose & Throat, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Maxillo Facial, Orthopaedics, Urology and Vascular surgery.

Three assessors over three days, and the hospital demonstrated compliance across eight National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards with zero unmet requirements, and no recommendations.
