Our rehabilitation services support hospital patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. We offer tailored physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech pathology programs to help regain mobility, strength, and independence.

Day Rehabilitation
Our rehabilitation services support hospital patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. We offer tailored physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech pathology programs to help regain mobility, strength, and independence.
With a patient-focused approach, we provide the tools and support needed for a successful recovery, promoting long-term well-being.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is offered as part of the Day Rehabilitation Program. Patients don’t need to be able to swim to participate. The pool has accessible change rooms, and the pool is heated to a comfortable 34 degrees Celsius.
Program Times:
- Patients must agree to attending the 2-3 hour program, twice per week.
- Program duration – 5-6 weeks (depending on health fund & client needs).
Orthopaedic Program:
Monday & Wednesday 1.00-3.30pm
Reconditioning Program:
Tuesday & Thursday 9.00-11.30am OR 1.00-3.30pm
What to Bring:
- Suitable covered footwear and comfortable gym clothing
- Swimming costume (for hydrotherapy pool)
- Any medications required (eg pain tablets, insulin, nitro spray, asthma medication)

Outstanding Accreditation Results
We are proud to report St Vincent’s received a perfect score across all safety and quality standards in its recent ACHS health standards review. Three assessors over three days, and the hospital demonstrated compliance across eight National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards with zero unmet requirements, and no recommendations.
Successful EA Agreement for Nurses
Good News! In December last year a deal was voted up by St Vincent’s nursing staff to approve a proposed Enterprise Bargaining Agreement which was hailed by the nurse’s union as a solid offer, and acknowledged by nurses as a good deal.
